The final conference of the project «Border Museums - a space for intercultural dialogue»

This is the final stage of the project "Border Museums - a space for intercultural dialogue", implemented with the financial support of the European Union as part of the cross-border cooperation program Poland - (Belarus) - Ukraine 2014-2020 of the European Neighborhood Instrument.

Summarizing the results of the project and evaluating the achieved goals and indicators, this is exactly the task that was presented to the participants of the final conference of the project.

The event was held at the Volyn Museum of Local Lore together with partners in the format of a video conference.

We would like to remind you that the project is implemented by the Volyn Regional Council in partnership with the NGO "Center of Regional Initiatives of Volyn", the Volyn Museum of Local History and the Regional Museum in Stalów Wola (Poland).

The implementation of the project provided an opportunity to establish an active intercultural dialogue and strengthen the tourist potential of the museums of Ukraine and Poland, exchange experience, and increase the interest of the population in the culture and history of the regions.

One of the key products of the project was improving accessibility to museums for people with special needs. In addition, as part of the project, joint cross-border exhibitions were held, the website of the Volyn Regional History Museum was created (https://volynmuseum.com/news_events/page:15/), promotional films and a joint catalog of the best exhibits of partner museums were produced.

Study trips to Poland were organized for museum workers in Volyn to learn best practices and experience. An important component was the training events for museum staff, which allowed to improve their skills in working with special categories of visitors.

Thanks to the fruitful and successful work of each of the partners, we have a well-implemented project with an excellent result!
