On May 11, 2023, a cycle of master classes for children began on the territory of the Rivne community of the Kovel district as part of the project "Opalin: small towns - a big story", which is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union as part of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Poland - Belarus - Ukraine 2014-2020 of the ENI.
A master class in the origami technique called "Spear of Hope" was held at the Gushchan Lyceum. Teacher Kotsura T.A. held an exciting and interesting class for 20 children who made ears of corn. After all, they are a symbol of one of the greatest sanctuaries of the Ukrainian people - bread, productivity, prosperity and wealth.
Also, the senior students of Gushchan Lyceum had the opportunity to attend a master class called "Horseshoe Happiness". Ukrainians have believed in charms since ancient times. One of them is a horseshoe, which is considered a symbol of happiness, luck, well-being and wealth. The students made the attribute of the house with their own hands, with great pleasure. Various types of natural material were used for its creation: plaited twine, nuts, ears of corn, various cereals, dried flowers, burlap, etc. But the result surprised me the most - all the works were very good! Everyone made every effort to make their amulet acquire a special magical power!
In total, more than 40 students from the villages of Rivne, Gushcha, Mylovan, Podlissya and Vyshnyvka of the Rivne community took part in the two master classes. The children are very satisfied and look forward to further activities within the project.
