The Capuchin church was built in 1737-1741 under design of Paolo Antonio Fontana, court architect of the Sanguszkos, in the Tuscan Baroque style. The temple was co-funded by the treasurer of Trembowel, colonel Mikołaj Krzynecki, and by Duke Paweł Karol Sanguszko.
The Capuchin church is a rectangular building with a nave and chapels on the sides. The temple interior is modest - white walls without ornaments. The only notable decorative elements are Tuscan pilasters. The oak altar is made in the late Baroque style. The walls are decorated with paintings by Szymon Czechowicz. Among them is the Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence located in the main altar. The monastery, built in the same period, is adjacent to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church on the left side. Together they form a quadrangle with a small apple orchard in the centre.
In 1867 the monastery was liquidated and the temple was administered by a secular clergy. In 1938, the Capuchins returned to the building and have been handling it until this very day. After large-scale renovations in 1978, all the monastery premises have been totally refurbished.
